Risk Assessment
The threshold level of Brome for cost-effective control using Monitor is between one and five plants/square metre.
Identify and assess weed populations across the field, and take account of the following species characteristics:
Anisantha family

Germinate all year round

Germinate best in the dark

Seed viable for up to two years
Serrafalcus family

Need light and heat to germinate

Seed viable for up to ten years
Treat with Monitor if there is a risk to the yield of the growing crop, or if weed seed contamination carries a financial penalty.
