Annual Meadow Grass (Poa annua)
Annual, grows between 5cm and 30cm high.

Character: It generally remains small and
tufted, and has a paler green appearance than other grasses.
Flower: The flowers appear on branches which tend to be at 45º to the stem. The spikelets have no awns and will contain between 3 and 10 flowers.
Significance: Annual Meadow-grass has
increasingly become a serious problem in arable crops, due to its rapid flower development and continuous shedding of seed.
