New label restrictions have been introduced by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate from 2012, affecting the use of all herbicides on non-porous hard surfaces. Blanket spraying of roads and pavements as well as over-spraying of drains will be prohibited. These new rules mean Monsanto's recommended Best Practice to minimise both the amount of herbicide used and any contamination of watercourses, will now become compulsory.
