Tank mixture with diuron
Roundup Pro Biactive herbicide will control emerged weeds, but has no residual effect.

If long-term weed control is required from a single application, Roundup Pro Biactive may be tank mixed with diuron. This tank mixture is ideal for use on pavement backs, footpaths, fence lines, graveled areas, waste ground and around buildings.

Non-residual weed control - Paths, Roads, Drains

Using this tank-mix will prevent germination of weeds later in the season. Germinating weeds susceptible to diuron, include Mayweeds, Fat-hen, Willow Herb and Annual Meadow-grass.

Timing
The tank mixture should be applied when the soil is moist. The mixture should be applied when the weeds are green and actively growing. It should not be applied to kerb edges, or later than the end of May. For best results use when the flush of seedlings from spring germination have emerged. Remember you are relying on Roundup Pro Biactive to control the emerged weeds, so refer to the guidelines on the Non-residual weed control page.

Note: The maximum label use rate of 14 litres per ha of diuron, (500g/l) is never needed when mixed with glyphosate. Diuron can only be used on hard surfaces between February and May.
Always refer to the specific recommendations on the diuron product label.

Mixing
Part fill the spray tank with water. Then add the diuron and mix thoroughly. Add the required amount of Roundup Pro Biactive and top up with water, continuing to agitate to ensure thorough mixing.

Knapsack Sprayers
To ensure maximum agitation of the spray liquid when using knapsack sprayers, it can be helpful if spray teams are serviced from a mother tank, which is agitated continuously to minimise the risk of the diuron settling out.

The mixture can be prone to foaming, and it may be necessary to add a few drops of an anti-foaming agent, during the mixing process.

Water Company Restrictions
Before spraying diuron, ensure that the local Water Company has not placed any restrictions on the use of residual herbicides in the area intended for treatment.

Always read the label. Use pesticides safely. Roundup Biactive, Roundup Max, Roundup Ultra ST and Roundup Gold contain glyphosate. Monitor contains sulfosulfuron. Latitude contains silthiofam. Ramrod contains propachlor.
